How to embed the Quran verse widget

Copy the HTML code below into a Custom HTML or Embed block in your website editor. WordPress, Squarespace and other builders may restrict iframes on some plans; use the platform’s supported HTML block.

The widget is responsive within its container. Give it enough height for a longer verse, and keep scrolling enabled. Preview it on a phone before publishing your page.

What the website widget shows

The embed displays the same seven-verse selection as our daily Quran verse page: the complete Arabic ayah, M. M. Pickthall’s English translation, the surah name and verse number.

The selection changes at midnight UTC. A page already open in a browser updates on refresh. The embed does not add an app to a phone or follow the visitor’s personal app settings.

No account, API key or advertising in the embed

You do not need an account or API key. We do not include advertising, an analytics tracker or a cookie script in the embedded verse page. The browser still makes a normal request to our hosting provider to load it.

Your own website builder, analytics or consent tools are separate from the embed. The widget includes a visible source link; leave it in place so readers can check the verse and translation.

Light and dark appearance

The widget follows the browser’s preferred light or dark color scheme. Use the supplied container width and allow sufficient height. The Arabic text is marked as Arabic and runs right to left; the English translation runs left to right.

If your website does not allow iframes, link to our daily Quran verse page instead. Avoid copying a verse as an unlabeled image that loses its source and accessible text.

Want a Quran widget on your phone instead?

A website embed belongs inside a web page. For a verse on an iPhone or Android Home Screen, install the mobile Quran Widget app and follow the platform guide.

The Classic Home Screen verse widget is free on both platforms. The iPhone Daily Verse Lock Screen widget is free too; additional designs and widget types are optional Premium features.

Questions about Quran widgets

Is the Quran widget for websites free?

Yes. The public iframe embed is free and does not require an account or API key.

Will it work on WordPress?

Use a Custom HTML block if your WordPress plan and permissions allow iframes. Some hosted plans or security settings remove iframe code; use a link to the daily verse page if embedding is not permitted.

Does the embedded widget refresh itself at midnight?

No. It selects the current UTC day’s verse when loaded. Refresh the containing page to load the next selection after midnight.
